ROBERT R. REDFIELD, M.D.

Dr. Robert Redfield is an American virologist best known for his work on HIV/AIDS and his tenure as the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 2018 to 2021. Dr. Redfield obtained his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He served in the US Army Medical Corps and conducted groundbreaking research on HIV/AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s.

In 2021, Dr. Redfield became a senior medical advisor to Tripp Bio, a biotechnology company that develops therapies for infectious diseases.
